Lava flows for Modern Marvels (KILAUEA VOLCANO, HAWAII) Modern Marvels 'Super Hot' Show: Here Producer Melissa Fuller is plunging a hammer in some fresh Kilauea lava. It feels like taffy. The Lava is traveling at about a meter a minute so we could get this close. It is however excruciatingly hot. You can stand there for about 20 seconds before you are forced to back away. We walked where the volcanologist would walk because, as you can see, it's pretty hard to detect the dry stuff from the wet stuff.

Ospry V-22 (ALBUQUERQUE, NM) Modern Marvels takes to the air with two Osprys somewhere over New Mexico. The V-22 Ospry is a military tiltrotor aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing and short takeoff and landing capability. It is designed to perform missions like a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of turboprop aircraft.
